Thoughts about Moving

Thoughts about Moving
Part 1

It seems like we have been moving for years now.  It might be my imagination, but my clothes smell like cardboard.  My most valued piece of clothing is a good pair of gloves and the most important appliance we own is a packing-tape dispenser. Between our weird and frequent moves and helping so many of the kids relocate, I keep waking up in the middle of the night confused about where I am.  Course that happens in the middle of the day too so that might just be old age.

Moving is hard.  Physically, it can break you down.  Emotionally, it can drain you dry. But it can also be a real rush too!

Being a CES family, we moved quite a bit as we were asked to take new positions.  LeGrand always promised the kids there would be a blessing for each child if they would pray about the move and look for the tender mercies of the Lord in our new area.  When LeGrand and I recently went on our mission, we really started thinking about how wonderful people are all over the world and how fun it is to start a new life.  We weren’t afraid to move anymore.

  1. We are so overwhelmingly grateful that you are brave enough, strong enough, tough enough, resilient enough, kind enough, selfless enough and sweet enough to move around being everyone's witto angels! Words can't express how thankful we kiddos and grandkiddos are and how much you are loved! You show your love through your ACTIONS. We are so thrilled each time our kids get to interact with you & know you better. You are such an important part of their lives. MOVING IS THE WORST...it's hard...but it truly does bring many new adventures and blessings. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO WONDERFUL!! More thoughts, please!
