Old Historic San Diego & Mormon Battalion Visitor's Center

Kellie took us to the Old Historic San Diego Center where the city first sprang up. The Mormon Battalion was a significant part of those beginnings when they stayed in the small community during their march. They Mormons taught the people there how to make brick and the people introduced dry farming and irrigation to the Battalion so the Mormons could survive in the deserts in Utah when they arrived. It was a providential meeting for both groups.

  1. Beautiful purple flowers, green cacti (what's the plural on that?) and sunshine galore...it looks downright TROPICAL! Gorgeous pics. Love that Kelsey and Claire Bear. And Grandpa sporting the soldier garb. Great post.
