Michael's Fun (?) Run

I don't understand runners.  I did jog for awhile, but no run was that much fun.  I emphathize with the guy who said,  "The trouble with jogging is that by the time you realize you're not in shape for it, it's too far to walk back."



Michael was a runner in high school and although he doesn't have much training time these days, he still likes to celebrate the 4th of July by entering some random race.  This year he and Jill were in Blanding so after training for two days, he jumped in the early morning 5K.

"Runners, tie your shoes and take your place at the starting line."

 

 

Steve Hiatt:  "All runners must finish the entire race or I will have to kill 'em.  I just love that part."

 

 

Michael:  "Did someone really pay that dog's entry fee?"

 

Go!

 

Knowing that Michael only trained for two days before the race, we were surprised to see him come in as one of the first finishers.

 

Second place medal in the hardest division!  Nice run, Michael!
